Langtry Manor Business Women Awards Ceremony 2012

After months of careful preparation and countless nominations, the wait was finally over.  On Thursday May 17th for one night only, Langtry Manor was transformed from hotel, into A-list party venue. The grand marquee sparkled with cerise pink table lights, awaiting the revellers as they ascended the plush red carpet laid out for their arrival. Guests were photographed as we marvelled at the stunning pieces worn by the ladies, as well as the 007 sharp style of the men escorting them.

Hostess and awards founder Tara Howard looked effortlessly elegant in a powder blue gown which looked as if it had been made for her slender figure. Everybody oozed glamour as the drinks reception came to a close as the party took their seats in the large marquee erected in the gardens at Langtry Lodge. The event started with a bang as no less than £1000.00 was raised for Leaf charity, thanks to the generosity of our diners. One lucky couple even won a stay in the awe-inspiring King’s Room including Afternoon Tea and 3-course Fine Dining.

Award presentations began after the chic goat’s cheese with salmon starter was presented. Sponsors announced their winners and spirits in the crowd were high as the wine flowed. Acceptance speeches ranged from short and sweet, to gushing and emotional. The main course of chicken supreme was very well received followed by yet more awards. Finally, after chef’s contemporary twist on a 70’s classic black forest gateaux, the final winners were announced. We offer our sincerest congratulations to all winners and finalists. As the party sadly drew to a close, guests were wowed by a fire display presented by a local daredevil artist who lit up the night sky, providing a fitting end to a superb evening.
